in this Courtroom Drama
AND THE AUDIENCE IS THE JURY!
A Southside African American businesswoman sues a Jewish real estate developer from the North Shore for defamation. The audience deliberates for 15 minutes and then votes: for the plaintiff or against the plaintiff.
A post-play discussion with the playwright and cast offers additional opportunity for discussion of the highly-charged themes in the play.
This event is free of charge and Decalogue is offering 1.5 hours of CLE credit for participation.

Come learn about the Illinois state court system from the judges who preside within it and the clerks who make the system work. Learn more about the law clerks role in the different divisions and how you can get on of these exciting jobs.
Students will have the opportunity to send in their resumes to Decalogue for inclusion in a state clerkship book that will be made available to judges across Illinois early next year.
